Snowshoe tours for all levels
Easy-Cheesy
Is this your first snowshoe hike? Beginners will find plenty of short and easy routes to suit them, such as the short circular walk around the Kristbergbahn mountain station. The walk takes only about an hour and the route is relatively flat over 2.3 km. It’s the ideal hike to start with.
Relaxed snowshoe enthusiasts
Those who feel a bit more confident can, for example, try the Silbertal circular route. In 2.5 hours, this route takes you 9 km and 300 metres of elevation gain from the centre of Silbertal. On the circular route, you’ll cross rocky sections and the Bannwald Bridge on your way to Fellimännle. You’ll then follow the same route back to the centre of Silbertal.
Experienced mountaineers
For experienced snowshoe hikers, a tour to the Muttjöchle is recommended when snow conditions are safe. You should allow a full 4.5 hours for this challenging tour, covering 12 km and 632 metres of elevation gain. Your tour begins at the Kristbergbahn mountain station, taking you through the Muttwald forest and up to the Muttjöchle at 2,074 m. Enjoy the majestic and unforgettable view from the summit of the Rätikon, Verwall and Silvretta mountains before setting off on your return journey, directly to the Panoramagasthof Kristberg.
