Hiking where even the flowers are
happy
Sometimes you have to stop, step out, distance yourself from the bustle, even when
things are still going well, even when you're still productive.
I want to stop, feel my breath, look into my eyes, let my inner pictures
shine.
I must stop, come to rest, so that I can encounter
others.
Kristberg was "invented" for people who wisely foresee that they can receive
energy from nature and peace and quiet, in order to master the demands of life.
The house would like to introduce itself: I am a mountain inn with 30 beds. My rooms in
the traditional wing are especially cosy, because the aged wood has many stories to tell.
The Zudrell family hangs cuddly bath-robes on my doors for the trip to the shower on each
floor. Of course I also have a few new guest rooms with shower/WC. They are only a few
years old and still have a while to catch up on the atmosphere of the more
"mature" ones.

A new day breaks...
You wake up because a bird is chirping outside your window. Adolf already awaits you
with breakfast. Muesli with fresh fruit, crisp rolls, scrambled eggs and bacon, home-made
butter, fragrant coffee... How does that sound?
Then off you go. You slip into your comfortable hiking shoes, pack your rucksack and
are off on your way. The Fellimännle tour is good for starters. The Itonskopf, the
Muttjöchle, the Fellimännle mountain and the Lobspitze are all challenges. You
will like our mountains. It pays to stop off at Sigrid's hut. Rest there on an old
wooden bench. Taste cheese. Listen to the rushing of the stream and enjoy the sun on your
skin.
Maybe it's raining (that's very rare). Then you would have time to visit the miners'
museum in Silbertal, have breakfast in bed, see the chapel with Adolf and listen to songs
from his flute. Write postcards, milk cows, read a good book, visit the
"Kunsthaus" in Bregenz...
Culinarily, you will be pampered by
Eric, the kitchen chef, and his team (Eva-Maria, Jesper
and René) with a four-course dinner. Sometimes they will surprise you with a barbeque.
Most of the produce used comes from our very own farm.
After a relaxing evening with pleasant conversation, a fun games evening or a little
Kristberg party you will sleep like a woodchuck in the Wasserstubental.
Your arrival. There are almost no cars on Kristberg.
That's why you can
take special pleasure in the flowering mountain pastures. In July it smells of fresh hay.
Walks are also much more romantic without traffic.
Our hotel guests can arrive by cable car from Silbertal. Adolf then picks them up at
the top. We suggest you buy a weekly pass, because it's cheapest. There is also the
possibility of taking a narrow, winding mountain road. You will receive a permit from us
that allows you to use this private co-op road.
I can't wait to meet you!
